During work the other day, a customer complimented my rainbow bracelet (that I wear now and then). He then asked me what it meant and because I was working late (it was already dark out), the store was fairly empty, and I didn't know him, I just said "It means rainbows". He was very confused. By far, the best answer I have ever given someone!

Hm, do you think maybe he was asking because he wanted to see if you were LGBTQ friendly? Cause why would he ask you what your bracelet meant otherwise? It just seems odd to specifically ask what it means, lol. But maybe not to that guy! Playing it safe is usually the best way to go when it comes to potentially belligerent people.

Oh god, one of your earlier posts came to mind again two days ago when a girl I'd just met was trying to help me figure out the best way gay fathers would deal with any potential confusion with them both being called "dad," and she says, completely innocently, "Well in gay couples, one of the men is more feminine and the other is more masculine, so I think the feminine one could possibly just go by mom. Don't you think?" I was like, "Uh, no. That's extremely heteronormative." And she was like, "Oh. ...Sorry." I felt bad for kind of snapping at her, but seriously? She was 23, AND she claimed to be bisexual, so I don't know. She must not hang out with very many lgbt people or supporters. Anyway, it made me think of your rant from before, haha.

Aww. It's a shame we live in the world where you even need to debate on telling him. I'm sorry dear. :( BUT! That is a pretty funny response when you think about it, haha.

Your comics are cute as always. I like the expressions. The way you draw people--I love it.

I have a rainbow bracelet. Whenever someone asks me I just say "I'm gay friendly. gottaproblem?" They either just laugh or walk away. Maybe I'm just too intimidating .__. -forever alone-

@Lesbian Comics: I have rainbow bracelet too. My friends all know what it means so no one really questions me about it. I did have this guy ask about my rainbow necklace though. He's like, "So i see you have a rainbow necklace..." and i'm like "Yeah... it's rainbow..." and he goes, "Annndddd??" I mean, wtf dude? if you want to know if i'm gay or not just ask me!
geez, some people.
