SOMETHING MADE ME RAGE A WHILE AGO... I have a friend who's friends are kinda annoying. One of them is a gay male I believe (I remember my friend mentioning it, but I don't remember).
When this particular event happened we were all at a video rental store that was closing and I was looking at some games with a few of my friends. I then overhear the group whisper something only saying 'lesbians' particularly loud and laughing. (They know I'm gay, so I'm not sure if it was directed at me or what).
Then the gay male came up to me to tell me a really odd statement out of nowhere (panel 2). AT FIRST, I had no idea what the hell he was talking about. Then he said the line in the third panel. I found it so rude and disrespectful that I had the urge to ruin his throat with my FIST. Transphobia is weird you guys. It's weird and should not exist; especially in the LGBT community. You know what should exist? Gigantic buckets of love. That should be a thing.

@whirly-twirly-fangirly: PEOPLE ARE WEIRD, weird and they smell funny sometimes. I usually just get so shocked from what they say that my mind goes blank and I just stare at them. Just stare with a face of twisted confusion and disgust. And congrats on your first comment virginity. You get that gurl. Get that all up in yo BUSINESS.

Okay, so, every Tuesday morning, everyone should get a small thing of heart-shaped, fruit flavored gummies that will just flood your brain with love, acceptance, and endorphins for the entire day. After you eat one, the little thing closes until the next day. And then dance parties and rainbows. And kittens. Yeah.

Reply Kiel95, June 24th, 2012, 9:48 pm

@Lesbian Comics: You only wanna punch his throat?!?!? dude... i'd probably kick his balls... there's no need to make it so you injure his throat... no... that's needed so you can hear him squeal in pain as he doubles over from the knee or foot which is currently making it so reproducing may never again be an option >:)
I dislike all the hate for the LGBT community... i mean seriously... what's their problem?!?

The grammar or syntax is off in the second panel, because even reading it through and your comment, I have no idea what exactly they were trying to say. I understand the general theme of this one, but not the "joke" they were trying to make.

Reply CrippleCakes, June 24th, 2012, 11:06 pm

A punch to the throat might kill him too quickly. Break both his knees, and dangle him upside down until all the blood rushes to his head, then poke some holes in his face so that he'll die from blood loss :D

Reply Cielo, June 25th, 2012, 12:41 am

I'm not exactly sure what they're trying to say in the second panel, either.

But I get what it's about, and that's just awful, especially if your gay friend was in this too. I'm pretty sure he's experienced what it's like to be hated on himself. No lesson learned there. *facepalms*

Reply Lesbian Comics, June 25th, 2012, 6:07 am

@Cielo: OH NO HE'S NOT MY FRIEND. Not my friend at all. But he's friends of my straight friend. But she encouraged him, so THEY ARE BOTH GUILTY OF BEING BUTTS.

p.s. I think what he was trying to say in the second panel was when biological males go through the process of transitioning through bottom surgery. So, because they are biologically male, he calls them male when they don't feel male. I also think he means when stitches are accidentally opened? Never mind, I have no clue what he was trying to say...

Speaking as a trans woman, I can tell you that we are the punch line of a lot of jokes. Of course, I don't find my existence very amusing. In fact, my life is pretty boring. Not sure why people think it's so funny to be trans, considering I'm like any other tomboy lesbian out there.

People are honestly surprised when I tell them I'm trans. I guess they're expecting a five o'clock shadow, a horrible, pink dress, and a ton of makeup on a trans woman's face. That's how the media portrays us, after all. They don't expect me to look like any other girl out there. What a shock. No, they do, unfortunately, expect us to be walking jokes. People to point and laugh at. This isn't exclusive to just non-LGBT people, but nearly all cisgendered people (people who aren't transgendered) who have never met a transgendered person--specially trans women.

This is why I say that we need more positive role models in the media. We need them to educate people that we're just people. Nothing more or less than that. It seems silly that we even need this at all, but we do.

Punch I.... I've never seen such stupid. o_o

I'd punch him so hard they'd need a proctologist to get his dental records. Nuff said.

TRANSEXUALS ARE SEXIER THAN HELL. I, personally, am a young woman (well, GIRL, I'm just barely into my teens), and I feel like I should be a gay boy. :I Like, I feel like, all the time, that I want to bend a man over a table, and just... BUTT SEHX. >:C But, you can't do that as a girl, you know. (Plus, it's like, I'm not married and I'm only a little girl and oh my god I will not have sex before I'm of age, even if I waaaant DX) If I weren't so afraid of the rep, the price, the reaction of my family, I think I would totally get a sex change... Oh, anyways; as a pansexual, and I hate to use it as a sheild, but still, I find it hard to believe that anyone could ever be so judgemental to someone like that. transgenders, transvestites, transexuals, crossdressers, hermaphrodites, just...ANYONE that's not HETEROSEXUAL get such a TERRIBLE reaction in society. It's pathetic really. Makes me wish I were an ANIMAL, where no one judges. >:( *huff*

Wait... Transphobia is a thing?! That...is so dumb. :| Plus, I don't really get the "joke" either.

you are my hero omg thank you. for me, being genderfluid, it's people like you who make me smile. of course people like myself don't get as much attention as trans* folks, but that may be a good thing ... flyin' under the radar.
